Our pre kindy room

As educators we provide a Play based, interest led curriculum which is designed in conjunction with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. We have a Program Wall and Floorbooks which are a record of activities and experiences that are provided on a daily basis, the children have input through drawings, photos or anecdotes.

Developmental Portfolios

We provide developmental Portfolios for each child that that families can access, these portfolios are also sent home with families twice a year to share achievements, special art work and report for the semester.

Play-based Learning

We believe in a strong play based ethos and we utilise our beautiful surroundings of the University, nearby parks and small shopping centres.  We venture out into the natural environment for ‘Nature Walks’ on a weekly basis and feel that the children benefit and begin to form their understandings of our connection with the land and community.

We run a Primary Caring system where each child has a key educator who is responsible for the education and care of the child, however, as a group we will endeavour to form positive relationships with all children in our care.
